English Translation:
When that person came back
I noticed the scent around them
I remember now
This smell of gunpowder
This parched scent
I smelt it for the second time
Less than a week
Since the first visit
This smell
Nobody noticed it before
Even I didn't detect it that day
How strange...
I had no plans to return
I had no intention
To enter without invitation
Haven't we met before?
You knew I was here
Before you heard the bell ring, right?
I see you've changed since we last met
Why do you say that?
I guess I smell bad
People often say:
"You smell rather strange"
Yet humans emit all kinds of scents
It is natural
For them to die
And emit the foulest smell of all
My own scent
I don't really notice it that much
What are you going to tell me this time?
Last time, did you...
Last time we met, did you remember what I said?
You think I could forget that?
I was hoping that would happen
It would be helpful
You know...I want you to forget it
What do you mean?
I made a mistake
I told you too much
You see, I'm just a human being
It was just a slip of the tongue
A slip of the tongue, you say?
I have never made a mistake
Whatever I have to say I say perfectly
Always
Regardless of the speed
Even if you can't forget
Always keep my words a secret between us
Or does somebody already know about this?
Why are you so nervous all of a sudden?
Till when should I keep this secret?
Till I die?
Say, will I really die someday?
You ask me this because you're afraid of death?
However, that's okay to be afraid
That reassures me as well
As it disappoints me
If I die someday
It may be possible to keep your promise
Since it won't be an eternity
But tell me please
I will die someday
Yet what is "death" for me?
I can't tell you as I don't know
Anyway, promise me
You won't tell anyone, okay?
And keep that promise
Forever till you die
